Power to the Suit

As equality empowerment continues to steal the show, co-ords in the form of suits have prolonged to provide power. Reviving from the outspoken 80's, two piece suits trickled into mainstream fashion around this time last year. There's no parting with the trend as of yet as fresh possibilities of colour, cut and style make appearances on and off the catwalk.

Re-worked work classics are embraced with short hemlines, bold colour-ways and daring plunges. Trouser suits are the ideal transition as we say goodbye to bare leg weather. For now, a plain tee or turtle neck will suffice but forthcoming, the simplicity of layering up a blazer works a treat. Add a basic hoodie for casual desk days or add a luxe coat on top with blazer lapels on show for date days.

No More Toxicity, Only Toxic by Britney Spears

Hey blog, long time no see!

After having the most super ambitious plans to defy writers block and grow my blog, amongst other things this summer, I have totally been MIA. Battling with forcing myself to write the perfect editorial or style the perfect shoot, I have learnt that if I make it seem like work or a chore, my love for this hobby would lessen. So, instead of running myself on a tight schedule of uploads or drowning myself in deadlines (i just love being (too) busy)🤦‍♀️ I need to focus on making time for little things. Enjoying, making the most of and learning from every minute. In the grand scale of things, it is so minor to be stressing over, expressing my thoughts on fashion or style for everybody or nobody to read. I guess my point being that, stressing over the little stuff is not worth it. Especially when it is you and only you applying that pressure to yourself. You are in control of your life and ultimately you are in charge of your own happiness, so you owe it to yourself to be kind to yourself.

For more similar ramblings and how to stop being a worrier or stress head, I’d highly recommend a few Anti-Self-Help books by Sarah Knight that have changed my little outlook on life.

Yeezy 500s

Would be rude not to review the latest sneaker silhouette by Kanye West. Welcome you bulky runner in Blush.

No. 1 shock has to be how comfy these are!!! After some googling including 'why are my yeezy's so comfy' I discovered this is due to the OrthoLite sole, sorry for not trusting you 500. The Orthopedic specialised insole ensures the foot is perfectly balanced and supported. Another shock had to be the width of the sneaker, the supposedly wide fit is no threat to my annoyingly narrow feet.

Trousers; Bershka.

This Blush colour way ensures it pairs easily with any wardrobe basics and neutrals of course. By Blush I really mean beige, a street favourite hue. I'm yet to see any pink tones of Blush in the Desert Rat but Kanye's sneak peaks of pastel pink releases have fed this millennial pink need.

Jacket; Supreme.

The bulky silhouette contrasts with a thin piping of the oversized sole, aligning with the ever prevalent chunky sneaker trend. Upper threads of mesh, leather and suede opt for a premium look. I was lucky to COP these beauties on NAKED CPH, my favourite girly sneaker store.

Hello Yellow

Everything for spring is about colour popping. Yellow is back in the spotlight with it's classic comeback this time of year.

Sporting some Kill Bill vibes in these Adidas Original track pants, they are the perfect luxe addition to brighten a day. Think Rihanna 2015 Met Gala hues and Yata Shahidi marigold OOTD's. Ideally I'd be daring and contrasting yellow with it's complementary colour of purple, but prince of wales check works for a more everyday look.

I've been on the hunt for a staple white tee that's not too tight, or too boxy, somewhere in between. This Asos piece almost fits the memo, and at £10 with an on trend type, I can't complain.

Normally I would go no where near lemon, or Man Repeller named Gen Z Yellow, but tailor the shade to your personality (or not too much clash with red hair in my case!) to express yourself yellow.

Seoul Fashion Week 2018 - Street Style

With neon accents a big hit, masculine tailoring for the girls and feminine tailoring for the boys, androgynous denim and deconstructed looks - It was South Korea's turn for fashion week in Seoul. I've plucked my favourite styles from the pavement.

As is known, bolder boasts of streetwear designers mixed with classic British brands was expected from the attendees. Fusing latest Vetements collabs with classic Burberry checks or luxe Louis Vuitton accessories was spotted along the sidewalks.

Colour popping blocking has trickled down from catwalk looks into the streets, with the trend still strong in Seoul. Doubtlessly, chunky sneakers and luxury logos were surface spotted.

Nike Air Max Day

Happy Air Max day Nike lovers!

Thought I'd do a mini shopping guide including past and present favourites in honour of the timeless, cult silhouette. First released on March 26 in 1987. With limited edition Maxes releasing over the weekend, sneakerheads around the world are in their element.

Below I've chosen my current crushes and wants.

1. Nike Air VaporMax Plus - In Pure Platinum, this grown up VaporMax features a yellow periodic table like stamp on the heel tab, with VM of course.

2. Nike Sportswear Air Max 97 Ultra '17 Sl - A gorgeous composition of leather and mesh.

3. Nike Air Max 98 'UK' - Bulky gold accents with 2018 embroidered on the heel makes this retro style one to watch.

4. Nike Air Max Plus Premium - In light grey shade is really more of a mauve, the perfect prim and proper sneaker with 'techno' fabric... fancy!

5. Nike Air Max Jewell Premium - As a Jewell lover, this unusual mix of colours would stand out for sure in the shoe-drobe.

6. Nike Wmns Air Vapormax Flyknit - Even though I was gutted I didn't cop the silver edition before everybody hopped on the Vapormax bandwagon, I am glad I waited for more colours because these are LUSH. Very sporty spice.

7. Nike Air Max 97 - This luxe version in (faux) nubuck, rubber and mesh, ensures the pair look as sophisticated wearing jeans, workwear or a casual dress. All rounder💅🏻

This article by HYPEBAE is the ultimate girly celebration of Air Max day. Chosen creatives were invited to design their own, Frankie Collective's head designer and creative director adding some chain bling in replacement of the laces. They even designed a cute street side bag to create a duo.

Stand out in stark whites. A crisp doubled up look works as temperatures begin to rise or drop. Or am I getting excited at the slight hint of spring sun?

These Topshop trousers are an all time favourite, with a super high waist and peg style fit, they look as good with a thick jumper for casual cold days or with a cropped fit pop of colour on summer nights. A pair of winter white trousers are a wardrobe ease.

Coat & Bag; Zara. Top; Stüssy. Trousers; Topshop. Boots; Doc Martens.

Emphasise a sleek look and complete the look with white converse or like moi, chunky Doc Martens (to remind yourself it is the UK and even though it is a little sunny it is still hecking cold).

I've been too happy with this shear purchase from Zara and have almost been living in it. With pink lining and deep pockets this number has been a best buy. Normally collarless coats stress me out (probably all in my head, sorry for judging you, collarless coat x) but I've not struggled to pair something with this overcoat even once.
